Hilarious Chinglish by ADV China

"None of us is ever going to leave this godforsaken wasteland. What is it with this place? It’s like a radioactive Georgia O’Keefe hellscape out there, crawling with coral snakes and scorpions. Ever seen the movie The Hills Have Eyes? It’s a documentary. God forbid your car breaks down and you have to walk ten steps. You got a melanoma the size of a pineapple where your head used to be.” – Better Call Saul, Season 1, Episode 10

Escape To Eternity by Sir Ridley & Waveshaper

Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world
Like a Colossus, and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs and peep about
To find ourselves dishonorable graves.

Men at some time are masters of their fates.
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.

“Brutus” and “Caesar”...
What should be in that “Caesar”?
Why should that name be sounded more than yours?
Write them together, yours is as fair a name;
Sound them, it doth become the mouth as well;
Weigh them, it is as heavy; conjure with ’em,
“Brutus” will start a spirit as soon as “Caesar.”

Now, in the names of all the gods at once,
Upon what meat doth this our Caesar feed
That he is grown so great? Age, thou art shamed!
Rome, thou hast lost the breed of noble bloods!

When could they say, till now, that talked of Rome,
That her wide walks encompassed but one man?
Now is it Rome indeed, and room enough
When there is in it but only one man.

O, you and I have heard our fathers say
There was a Brutus once that would have brooked
Th’ eternal devil to keep his state in Rome
As easily as a king.

Ocean Skin Miracle Essence

A Thai commercial for skin care brand Ocean Skin recently has been making its rounds on Chinese social media. The popularity of the 2.5-minute ad once again proves the international success of Thai commercials.

Commercials from Thailand are hugely popular on Chinese social media; there are even entire accounts fully dedicated to sharing them online. The latest hit is a funny campaign by Ocean Skin that shows a young woman who would do anything to achieve that perfect skin. The commercial was posted on a popular funny video Weibo channel (@冷笑话精选), from where it was soon shared over 14,000 times within a few hours after it was posted.

“Thai commercials are better than movies,” one commenter said. Other netizens hold similar opinions, saying that Thai commercials are in a league of their own. Thai commercials often are indeed like short movies, as they greatly focus on narrative and plot. Music also plays an important part in creating the commercial’s movie-like atmosphere. It is noteworthy that many Thai commercials, both sad and funny, focus on overcoming personal challenges and convey morals about not giving up.

America by Chris Hedges

Civilizations over the past 6,000 years have unfailingly squandered their futures through acts of colossal stupidity and hubris. We are probably not an exception. The physical ruins of these empires, including the Mesopotamian, Roman, Mayan and Indus, litter the earth. They elevated, during acute distress, inept and corrupt leaders who channeled anger, fear and dwindling resources into self-defeating wars and vast building projects.

The ruling oligarchs, driven by greed and hedonism, retreated into privileged compounds—the Forbidden City, Versailles—and hoarded wealth as their populations endured mounting misery and poverty. The worse it got, the more the people lied to themselves and the more they wanted to be lied to. Reality was too painful to confront. They retreated into what anthropologists call “crisis cults,” which promised the return of the lost world through magical beliefs.

“The most significant characteristic of modern civilization is the sacrifice of the future for the present,” philosopher and psychologist William James wrote, “and all the power of science has been prostituted to this purpose.”

We are entering this final phase of civilization, one in which we are slashing the budgets of the very agencies that are vital to prepare for the devastation ahead—the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, along with programs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration dealing with climate change. Hurricane after hurricane, monster storm after monster storm, flood after flood, wildfire after wildfire, drought after drought will gradually cripple the empire, draining its wealth and resources and creating swathes of territory defined by lawlessness and squalor. – Chris Hedges

Predator by Rageaholic

Scott says:

I was not infantry. But here is what I recall from my two most recent deployments. (2011 and 2014). Upon arrival in theater, there is a sorting process that goes on, not exactly out in the open, but its pretty obvious. It does not matter if you are married, single, whatever.

Within the first, I would guess, two weeks, you receive signals of intention from the girls who are interested in having a one year (or however long your deployment is scheduled to be) temporary arrangement. If you have not paired up within that two weeks, you have made it clear that you are not going to take part in the year long mission that happens to break out during the bang-fest.

Everyone knows who is f&$#ing whom. It is not a secret. You can pull them aside and say “hey man, I thought you were married. What the f&%$ are you doing?” This will only brand you as totally NOT DOWN with the party and you will spend the rest of your deployment eating at the Kandahar Burger King by yourself. I didn’t really mind, because I still had my marriage intact.

Back home, the wives are getting pregnant, getting abortions or claiming they were raped (because of the inconvenient timing of the pregnancies). Mychael was a civilian nurse working at an on-post clinic while I was downrange and could tell some stories. She also got regularly hit on, even by officers in my chain of command when they found she was home alone while I was deployed.

The suicide rate climbs and continues to be correlated with infidelity, break ups, frivorce, etc and everyone keeps willfully and ignorantly pretending that what is needed are MORE mental health professionals and other attempts to attack the symptom, not the cause. If we shove online suicide prevention trainings down their throats, maybe THEN they will stop killing themselves!

People are f&%$ing animals. They will have sex in dirty, dusty conexes, behind latrines, INSIDE latrines, whatever. Huge portions of the military have a way bigger share of STDs then the general population. All the while, nobody ever thinks to ask, “maybe its the mixing of the two in this environment that is the issue.”

Morgan Fallon and Joe Rogan

Martha Stout, author of “The Sociopath Next Door” estimates that the rate of sociopathy in the general population is about 4%. That’s 1 out of 25. Here’s a quote:

“After listening for almost twenty-five years to the stories my patients tell me about sociopaths who have invaded and injured their lives, when I am asked, “How can I tell whom not to trust?” the answer I give usually surprises people. The natural expectation is that I will describe some sinister-sounding detail of behavior or snippet of body language or threatening use of language that is the subtle giveaway. Instead, I take people aback by assuring them that the tip-off is none of these things, for none of these things is reliably present.

Rather, the best clue is, of all things, the pity play. The most reliable sign of a sociopath is their appeal to a normal’s person sympathy, despite their abusive, destructive, manipulative, and mendacious behavior. “If, instead, you find yourself often pitying someone who consistently hurts you or other people, and who actively campaigns for your sympathy, the chances are close to 100 percent that you are dealing with a sociopath.”

North Tower Exploding

If you can watch this and convince yourself that what you’re seeing is a “collapse” — i.e., potential energy being converted into kinetic energy — I cannot help you.

Floors collapsing into other floors a few feet below them cannot pulverize structural concrete into dust. There’s not enough energy to do the pulverizing. And yet that is exactly what you see happening.

Add the hundreds of instances of hinky shit like the short trades of United and American airlines. The six drills scheduled for the same day. etc. etc. etc. and if you can take all of that in and accept the street shitters with box cutters explanation, then I don’t want you working on any mission critical tasks. Thanks for writing this reply, which is an uphill battle. Right. For feminists sex is about power. For men it's about being unchained. Rape isn't about power, it's about being dehumanized by dehumanizing those who refuse to relent power. I'm not saying that is good or just. I'm saying that is the byproduct of extremes. The best tool men have to avoid such shit mindsets is abundance, self improvement, and deprograming themselves of the bullshit they are raised to believe. Everything we are raised to believe is a quilt woven to serve them, and never yourself.

Ultra Europe 2017

Ultra Europe has become one of, if not the biggest, EDM and house music festival on the continent. Bringing it all together on the lush Adriatic coast of the Croatian town of Split, the festival lays on a programme of epic stadium shows, beach kickbacks and full-throttle boat parties across the town and its surrounding islands.

Recent editions have featured the likes of David Guetta, deadmau5 and The Chemical Brothers, who each touched down alongside a pilgrimage of dance music fans from around the world, eager to party like they've never done before.

With the main festival taking place inside Split's historical Stadion Poljud, festival-goers will also take to the waves onboard a selection of no-holds-barred boat parties, as well as docking on some of the country's most beautiful islands for a set of heavenly beach parties.

V the Miniseries in 9 Minutes

Larry Kummer, Editor says:

Novaseeker nails it: “It’s rational behavior from the perspective of a woman because a woman can maximize her control over ‘her’ children while continuing to extract resources from their father.”

While irrational in many ways, people are usually good at calculating incentives — although it often takes a few generations for people to realize the rules or circumstances have changed.

The other thing mentioned above is the difference between behavior that is “rational for me” and “rationale for society.” They are often different. In economics, its the difference between microeconomics (more savings is better for me) and macroeconomics (if we all save more, the economy slows). The Prisoner’s Dilemma is another example of this.

The great philosopher Immanuel Kant resolved this with his “Categorical Imperative”: each of us should act in a way that will make society better if we all acted that way.” Since few of us are philosophers, that maxim never got much traction.

Stand Still by Sabrina Claudio

"Thoughts and Prayers" may be trite -- but it's even more trite to point this out. Because anyone who's ever known someone who's suffered a loss has offered thoughts and prayers, and realized that such words and sentiments were inadequate given the tragedy at hand. And anyone in that situation has thought, "I wish I could say more." In fact, starting out a letter of condolence with the statement "My words are inadequate..." is itself cliched and trite.

But here's the thing, anyone who's tried to console someone bereaved has made this observation to himself a hundred times before. No matter how inadequate and trite "thoughts and prayers" may seem, there's really no better way to say it. All words and actions are inadequate when someone loses a parent, or a child, or a spouse, after all.

I myself have tried to think of something more profound and novel twenty times before -- and I've failed every time. So yes, "thoughts and prayers" is a a little trite -- but it's far more trite and callow to claim it's trite. Because anyone with a functioning neuron and some experience at comforting a bereaved person knows that as trite as "thoughts and prayers" is, there is simply no set of words or action that work some kind of magic to bring the lost one back to life. In the face of death, all words and deeds of man are trite and insignificant. – robotCircuits

Ugly Boy by Die Antwoord

Men fight for dominant status, women are eliminationist. As I alluded to in a previous post about credentialism being inherently feminine and hierarchy inherently masculine, research shows men follow a “compete then cooperate” model and women follow a “compete and cast out” model. The two strategies exist because men and women have differing reproductive goals and sex roles. Men must gain status and then use that status to acquire fertile women and resources, and to protect those resources from rape and pillage by competing tribes. This requires intratribal cooperation with other men.

Women don’t have the role of protecting the tribe from invading tribes or of accumulating resources to win the love of high value men, so their intrasexual strategy doesn’t require cooperativeness. But since men are attracted to young nubile women and are thus a persistent abandonment threat to women, the female intrasexual strategy does require competing against other women to retain a male provider.

Ominously, because other younger women are a continual poaching threat, women will seek to eliminate them from competition rather than dominate them. Intrasexual female domination is useless from a Darwinian perspective because men aren’t attracted to dominant women. – Heartiste

Fabiolous Escape 2 by Fabio Wibmer

I am not complaining, I just don’t find this to be good writing. If you write about your experience that’s one thing, I understand that. But if you write a piece addressing social problems and it’s a laundry list of complaints and you attack people that actually accomplished something for "selling out", which by the way is super abstract, what classifies selling out?

Does purchasing a pair of jeans from a major outlet that abuses workers considered selling out? Is it the same level of selling out as lobbying for the construction of a pipeline through indigenous lands? Then prepare to hear that your writing is fallacious. There are are so many logical fallacies within this article. It's purely emotional, and I get it. I understand there are problems, and it’s also very important to vocalize that these issues exist. But when you do, please also give something in return other than a laundry list of complaints, contribute somehow to benefit the greater whole. Otherwise this is just poetry, and yes there is still a place for poetry. Poetry is beautiful, it can open up emotions and show us a different dimension to our existence. But it cannot substitute for meaningful conversation to move society forward.

What have you contributed? What do you have to offer? These are questions we need to ask ourselves, not how we can make people uncomfortable. Leeches and parasites make people uncomfortable too. – Neil Aleksandrov

Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2018 Trailer

Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt, releasing for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Adapted from the tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020, it is set fifty-seven years later in dystopian Night City, California, an open world with six distinct regions.

In a first-person perspective, players assume the role of the customizable mercenary V, who can apply experience points to stat upgrades to reach prominence in the character classes NetRunner, Techie, and Solo. V has an arsenal of ranged weapons and options for melee combat, all of which can be proliferated and modified. Traveling across Night City, V is subject to either walking or driving various vehicles. Branching dialogues are used for conversations with non-player characters, and multiple endings are available.

Cyberpunk 2077 was developed by CD Projekt Red, an internal studio within CD Projekt, using the REDengine 4 game engine. They launched a new division in Wrocław to assist with development, and more staff members worked on the game than were allocated to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Ready Player One

“Then, indeed, the authors of base pleasures feasted at will in most places, but all things were filled and stuffed to overflowing. Nobody thought of the State's expenses, nobody thought of the State's losses, because the cost was not felt. The State itself sought how it might squander what it was already scarcely able to acquire. The heaping up of wealth which had already exceeded its limit was overflowing even into trifling matters. But what can be said of the present day situation? That old abundances have gone from us. The resources of former times have gone. We are already poverty stricken, yet we do not cease to be spendthrift.”

“Thus, far and wide, they migrate either to the Goths or to the Bagaudae, or to other barbarians everywhere in power; yet they do not repent of having migrated. They prefer to live as freemen under an outward form of captivity, than as captives under the appearance of liberty. Therefore, the name of Roman citizens, at one time not only greatly valued, but dearly bought, is now repudiated and fled from, and it is almost considered not only base, but even deserving of abhorrence.” – Salvian the Presbyter, On The Present Judgement

As if a lifetime of slavery and putting others needs first and never accomplishing anything one wanted to really do is worth it so the room can be crowded when one passes. Maybe I'll die alone in a home due to some fluid in my lungs but I studied what interested me, have a successful career in my chosen field, fucked a lot of hot bitches, am ripped to shreds and am raising powerful kids to conquer the world and do whatever they want. I hope I don't die tonight but if I did I have no regrets.

Prigiognomy is real. Women in authority positions in the workplace obsess over watching everything you do, and then explaining why you have done it wrong and which rules you have violated. They don’t do anything productive, they just look over everyone’s shoulder making sure the rules are enforced and that you know who is boss. This phenomenon is not just in the office, but has spread like a cancer on US society. Our nation has become increasingly wound up, judgmental, devious, picky, uptight, and catty with one another.

All Before Breakfast by Tyler Chorlton

Twenty-five years ago, when most economists were extolling the virtues of financial deregulation and innovation, a maverick named Hyman P. Minsky maintained a more negative view of Wall Street; in fact, he noted that bankers, traders, and other financiers periodically played the role of arsonists, setting the entire economy ablaze.

Wall Street encouraged businesses and individuals to take on too much risk, he believed, generating ruinous boom-and-bust cycles. The only way to break this pattern was for the government to step in and regulate the moneymen. Many of Minsky’s colleagues regarded his “financial-instability hypothesis,” which he first developed in the nineteen-sixties, as radical, if not crackpot.

Today, with the subprime crisis seemingly on the verge of metamorphosing into a recession, references to it have become commonplace on financial Web sites and in the reports of Wall Street analysts. Minsky’s hypothesis is well worth revisiting.

In exciting times like these, I look back upon history. Starting with our earliest stories in 1400 BC of Moses freeing the slaves in Egypt, and God giving him the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. The singular violence of Jesus throwing the moneychangers from the temple in Jerusalem. The Rashidun Caliphate's seige of that same city only 600 years later. The Muslims would war with Christendom for another 800 years, resulting in the capture of Constantinople in 1453.

The House of Medici using their banking cartel in Florence to kickstart the Renaissance. The Vatican apologizing to Galileo 350 years after forcing him to confess or be burned at the stake. Martin Luther's 95 Theses. Francis Bacon and the scientific method. Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes. The writings of John Locke giving birth to our Declaration of Independence.

Christian philosophers looked outward, on Man's stewardship of the world. We were taught as boy scouts to draw, form, and build upon creation. That physical laws of gravity, electromagnetic force, and matter could be forged to our will if we respected how they worked. Jesus, our central hero, was a carpenter.

If This World Were Mine by Marvin Gaye

The following is a reblog of Josh Ishiro Finney’s A Letter to Boys & Young Men of America.

A response to mass shooting in Florida.

The bodies aren’t even cold yet and already you are being blamed.

Yes you.

All of you.

The boys and young men who will grow up to become one half of America’s future.

Once again, due to society’s failure to raise you, to teach you, to properly guide you on your path to manhood, your mere existence is being held responsible for seventeen more deaths — this time in Florida, and once again, at a school. The headlines of the last few days say it all.

“Guns don’t kill people; men and boys kill people, experts say”
-USA TODAY

“Michael Ian Black reacts to Florida shooting: Boys are broken”
-New York Daily News

“How Gun Violence And Toxic Masculinity Are Linked, In 8 Tweets”
-The Huffington Post

“Toxic white masculinity: The killer that haunts American life”
-Salon

“Toxic Masculinity Is Killing Us”
-The Boston Globe

“Toxic Masculinity Is Killing Us”
-Harpers Bazaar

“Don’t Blame Mental Illness for Mass Shootings; Blame Men”
-Politico

In the handful of decades I’ve been alive, I’ve seen America shift from a culture of responsibility to one of blame. We don’t solve problems anymore. We cry, we pray for, we seek to find closure, and then finally, slaughter a sacrificial lamb for our sins. When I was young and Columbine happened, that lamb was Marilyn Manson and video games. Before that, it was D&D and Twisted Sister. These days, though, as body counts continue to rise and excuses continue to vanish, the lamb America has chosen to sacrifice is you. Rather than take responsibility for the seeds we’ve sown, the culture we built, and the disaster you’ve been left to inherit, we as a nation have chosen to lie to ourselves. To listen and believe those who claim that the answer is simple: “Boys are simply born bad.”

As an aging Gen Xer watching this tragedy unfold, I can’t help but look back at my youth and realize we were the dry run for this “crisis of masculinity” as the media likes to call it.

In my time I’ve watched as fathers were pushed out of the home, separated from their children, and their role in society debased and devalued. Like you, I was taught male behavior was bad behavior. That I was broken and needed to be fixed. Drugs, therapy, mass socialization were required to save me from my most innate instincts.

The need to compete.

The drive to create.

The urge to protect.

The desire for female affection.

Like you, I was told these instincts were not only wrong, but dangerous. That due to my Original Sin of being born a boy, I was destined to mature into a lustful monster and an oppressor of women. All this was burned into me before I even reached college, where campus policy actually assumed all men to be rapists waiting to happen.

It isn’t hard to see how we got here, to an age when America is more than willing to sacrifice its boys. To quote Fight Club, “We’re a generation of men raised by women.” And the women who raised my generation had a saying: All men are pigs. But there’s another saying those same women were enamored with and that is: The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.

So here we are, coming close to fifty years of single mothers raising their boys as if they were animals. Two generations of young men raised to believe they’re broken, immoral, and dangerous. That their natural state, if left unchecked and unmedicated, is a sexual ticking time bomb of rape and abuse. Half a century of academia peddling a grim version of history that holds your gender personally responsible for all the wrongs ever to have happened in the world. And a press, that at this very moment, is blaming YOU for every school shooting to have ever occurred.

After all this, how could there not be a crisis of masculinity?

So to the boys and young men of America, believe me when I say it isn’t you who should be apologizing for the state of our world today. This mess was set in motion long before you were born.

You are not bad.

You are not broken.

You are not inherently evil or a sexual abuser in waiting.

You are boys who were robbed of your right to be men.

All your life you’ve been told to act, think, and behave like women. To suppress your passions, your pride, your need to compete and drive to achieve.

Now society is crumbling around us.

Feminizing boys didn’t make better men. It’s resulted in broken homes and shattered families and record suicide rates. It’s destroying any notion of a healthy partnership between men and women, and is pushing us ever closer to total collapse of gender relations.

Boys, we don’t need you to be like women, the world has plenty of women, already.

What the world needs now more than ever is for you to be men.

For you to grow up, to grow strong, and do what men do.

For it is men’s strength and determination that tamed the wilderness, built civilization, and has kept the world fed despite all predictions we’d all die starving before the year 2000. It’s men’s curiosity that lead us to explore the oceans, to conquer space, and peer into the tiniest of microcosms of the human body. It was men who built the cities we inhabit, the luxuries we enjoy, the medicines that keep us alive. Men built the road, the plumbing, the electrical grid, the phone in your hand, the internet it’s connected to.

Men have always been innovators, explores, defenders, and leaders.

But most importantly, men have always been fathers.

So to the boys and young men of America, please read this and take every word to heart.

The world needs you.

Jordan Peterson Responds to VICE

In the VICE interview, Jordan Peterson asked what the rules are. Liberals claim they want diversity, but the goalposts for that term move every day.

So let’s play a game:

I’m a white man who has built a successful farm business, growing vegetables, mangos, and bananas. I have a beautiful wife, a house, a truck, two cars, and three kids.

Should I be allowed to keep these? Or should I give them away?
If I should give them away, please specify who gets them:

- a Chinese billionaire
- a Jewish millionaire
- a single black mother
- a fat white feminist
- a Muslim immigrant
- a Mexican working class family

Now try the same exercise, but change “white man” to “Chinese man” and see what happens. Welcome to the future.

Forever (Pt. II) by Snakehips & Kaleem Taylor

Some years ago, officials at the Kruger National Park and game reserve in South Africa were faced with a growing elephant problem. The population of African elephants, once endangered, had grown larger than the park could sustain. So measures had to be taken to thin the ranks. A plan was devised to relocate some of the elephants to other African game reserves. Being enormous creatures, elephants are not easily transported. So a special harness was created to air-lift the elephants and fly them out of the park using helicopters.

The helicopters were up to the task, but, as it turned out, the harness wasn’t. It could handle the juvenile and adult female elephants, but not the huge African bull elephants. A quick solution had to be found, so a decision was made to leave the much larger bulls at Kruger and relocate only some of the female elephants and juvenile males.

The problem was solved. The herd was thinned out, and all was well at Kruger National Park. Sometime later, however, a strange problem surfaced at South Africa’s other game reserve, Pilanesburg National Park, the younger elephants’ new home.

Rangers at Pilanesburg began finding the dead bodies of endangered white rhinoceros. At first, poachers were suspected, but the huge rhinos had not died of gunshot wounds, and their precious horns were left intact. The rhinos appeared to be killed violently, with deep puncture wounds. Not much in the wild can kill a rhino, so rangers set up hidden cameras throughout the park.

The result was shocking. The culprits turned out to be marauding bands of aggressive juvenile male elephants, the very elephants relocated from Kruger National Park a few years earlier. The young males were caught on camera chasing down the rhinos, knocking them over, and stomping and goring them to death with their tusks. The juvenile elephants were terrorizing other animals in the park as well. Such behavior was very rare among elephants. Something had gone terribly wrong.

Some of the park rangers settled on a theory. What had been missing from the relocated herd was the presence of the large dominant bulls that remained at Kruger. In natural circumstances, the adult bulls provide modeling behaviors for younger elephants, keeping them in line.

Juvenile male elephants, Dr. Horn pointed out, experience “musth,” a state of frenzy triggered by mating season and increases in testosterone. Normally, dominant bulls manage and contain the testosterone-induced frenzy in the younger males. Left without elephant modeling, the rangers theorized, the younger elephants were missing the civilizing influence of their elders as nature and pachyderm protocol intended.

To test the theory, the rangers constructed a bigger and stronger harness, then flew in some of the older bulls left behind at Kruger. Within weeks, the bizarre and violent behavior of the juvenile elephants stopped completely. The older bulls let them know that their behaviors were not elephant-like at all. In a short time, the younger elephants were following the older and more dominant bulls around while learning how to be elephants.

Paraphrasing HL Mencken’s dark pill: The illusion that one woman is different than the others by virtue of her acting as if the sun rises and sets in your pants. For the beta, willing to die for someone or something. For the alpha, willing to kill for someone or something. - ReplyHawk

Domination by BAND-MAID

“A common pattern has emerged for women. Marry and have kids with a husband helping raise them during those early difficult years. Then divorce after they’re in school, and collect child support. This gets the children she wants without the bother of having a husband.”

The relationship between men and women is just one element of what’s going on. There is also the woman’s relationship with the kids. For women after divorce, the kids are no longer “our kids” but “my kids.” This is another unintended effect of the court system assigning kids to one spouse. They become a possession, if only on a subconscious level.

What I’m seeing now on social media are women who get married briefly, then cast aside the husband and become a sort of “couple” with the child. If it’s a girl, she becomes her “best friend.” If it’s a boy, he’s her “little man.” Photos alone tell the story. These women inevitably pose with their children in the same way they previously did with their man. Someday, sociologists will look back on this and wonder.

In essence, the kid becomes a surrogate spouse. The term “surrogate spouse” was invented by psychologists to describe relationships in which adults enlist a child to take on the emotional supporting of role of adult.

That phrase also connoted something abnormal. My fear is that this is now so widespread that it’s becoming the norm. “Emotional incest” with children is slowly replacing standard marriage for women.

I think this is the reason we’re seeing so much dysfunction with Millennials. Years ago, mom and dad were a team and pushed the kids along on their way to adulthood. But today, the parent-child relationship seems to go on and on because when the kids go away, it’s like a second divorce for mom. Not good. – Days of Broken Arrows

Artificial Intelligence by Peter Haas

Pierce O'Donnell • 15 hours ago

The purpose of law enforcement is specific: to protect and uphold your right to life, liberty, and property. Law enforcement isn't a social worker, your mother, your therapist, or your babysitter. Law enforcement is NOT here to protect people from their own stupidity. we have churches, family units, hospitals, and schools for that.

We've reduced smoking rates by over 70% without banning one cigarette. Simply through education. Nicotine is as addictive as cocaine according to the NIH. If all drugs were made legal would you take any of them? The war on drugs is simply a way for goverment bloat to get richer and fatter on your dime.

Let a stingy corporation like Walmart who thrives on razor thin margins get in the market and the cartels will starve. Additionally, the cartels in Colorado are undercutting the markets as there is artificially high demand from other states that haven't legalized. Remember all prohibition does is make criminals richer!

Thrill スリル by BAND-MAID

つまらないノイズがき消すように
ヤイフォンの音上がて
やつらが転ぶ隙狙ってる
Hey you 聴か せるわ
いつだってそうこ の世界 は faulty
立ち止ま たっら out of control
暴走気味と罵られても
泳ぎ 踏み出 せ
I don't care 踏み出せ

I come to erase the boring noise
So raise the sound of the iPhone
I aim the chance when the guys fall down
Hey you, can you listen?
Always this world is faulty
If it stood still it'd be out of control
Even if it is reckless, even if it is cursed
I step forward to strike out
I don't care I step forward

I've gotta be on my way
(Hey)
真っ平らな道に興味は見当たないの
Just breakin' new gate
(Hey)
後悔 という陰謀の魔の手かいくぐて
この上ない快憾はスリルと共に
生き続けって

I've gotta be on my way
(Hey)
I have no interest in walking a flat road
Just breakin' new gate
(Hey)
To the plot of regret, slipping by the hands of evil
To the greatest excellent grudge with a thrill
I will keep living with it

見たくもない光景 ばかり
四角 に閉じ込める
小さな空に弧を描く鳩
Who are you, 見上げるは
もうもがいたってそう real steady
自己暗示しても out of control
涙じゃ救われないなら
もう Enjoy 味わえ!

I do not want to keep watching the same view
Confined in a square
A dove drawing an ark in the small sky
Can you look up at who you are?
I seem to have reached it real steady
Even if the self suggestion is out of control
Even if I am unrelieved by tears
I taste it and enjoy it already!

I've gotta be on my way
(Hey)
答えのない恐怖は抂気に変えれば いい
Just breakin' new gate
真っ白 に 消し去ったページ は 破り捨てろ
覚悟 の 先 へとスリル と共に
身を捧げて

I've gotta be on my way
(Hey)
There is no answer, but I could change fear to craziness
Just breakin' new gate
(Hey)
The blank page that I erased, let's throw it away
Along with the thrill of my previous resolution
I will devote myself completely

China’s Millionaire Migration

These women don’t just want to build a better beta, they want to tame the alpha. In fact, I think the former is just another way they are trying to approach the latter. They want to take an inherently unsafe activity and make it safe. They want to submit to a man without having to submit; they want a man who can tame their feral self. They want him to trip their danger signals. Even better if he is a stranger from a strange land.

They want this all to happen without giving up their freedom; they want to play this out in the context of serial monogamy, so they can feel loved while also claiming their promiscuity is moral. They want to lose control to a string of strangers who have all of the hallmarks of very dangerous men, and they want a promise that this will always end well.

They want to know that this will be safe, without it losing the excitement of it feeling unsafe. They are telling men to build a sort of serial monogamy amusement park where they can ride the roller coaster and experience the fear of falling or crashing, while knowing that just behind the scenes grown ups are actually in charge and are responsible for them safely feeling unsafe.

One more thing. As I mentioned above they don’t want to be hemmed in. So instead of building an actual amusement park, they want roller coasters to spring up randomly in the same exact circumstances where the real danger they mimic would appear. They want to be driving their car on the freeway one instant, and the next experience the fear of careening out of control. They want to impulsively jump off the edge of the Grand Canyon and have a parachute appear and deploy at the last minute. And all they ask is your guarantee that all of this will be safe. - Dalrock
