If I Had A Heart by Fever Ray

This will never end 'cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more
This will never end 'cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more

If I had a heart I could love you
If I had a voice I would sing
After the night when I wake up
I'll see what tomorrow brings

The Hateful Eight by Quentin Tarantino

"When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: The people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly. They are like this because they can’t tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own. Not of the same blood or birth, but of the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands, and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are obstructions." — Marcus Aurelius (Meditations, Book II)

Basically women thrive off of emotional variety the way men thrive off of sexual variety. This is why women will just start shit for no fucking reason when shit is going well. The trick, therefore, is to approach it the way woodland firefighters do. By having controlled burns, they reduce the fuel for a forest fire to occur. With women, this means making them feel a range of emotions, even if it's just an act. Throw a little english on the ball for no reason. This will quench their need for emotional variety." – GayLubeOil

No Secrets by Chris Malinchak & Damon Scott

Three centuries. You speak of the same group I do. The same group that bought London by convincing England it had lost a war. To say that these people are responsible for our quality of life is accurate. To say that this is some kind of amazing accomplishment, what we have now, alluding to the fact that we're unlikely to achieve better by other means and should just continue riding the gravy train of these parasites... not at all. Left to our devices, we could do much better.

The only reason major technological advances are propelled by war, is because no one else is allowed to play with the toys, or make their own.

[–]1Yakatonker 1 point 20 hours ago

Most people on this planet were serfs up until two centuries ago because of the institutions of governance and the economic policies of the monarchists and plutocrats. It took the continuous demolition of those systems to reach the present state of democratic socialism.

Europe, China, Russia and a few other nations had to have their human systems demolished to the ground in order to rebuild them with the basic economic and governance reforms we see today.

Reductions in cost and mass increase in productivity means consumers have a higher degree of material wealth accessible to them then at any other point in history. The global economic supply chain was unthinkable a century ago because nations waged tariff wars continuously, had poor centralization of economic policy across regions and the bureaucracies of government were crippled with corruption lacking concept of governance for all.

[–]motivatedcat 0 points 1 day ago

I understand what this post might be trying to articulate, but what about the freedom that globalism brings. Being stripped by all outside identities seems to bring loyalty to oneself. It means living in a Caribbean island when your country is at war. Banking in a tax haven. Having two passports, in case one is cancelled. No fucks given about anyone or anything, other then yourself.

What you need to understand is being an Alpha is inherently immoral. An Alpha is first and foremost a parasite he fucks other men's women and lives off of the labor of betas. If you want to live like a king you have to take a disproportionately larger amount then you give or create.

If you want to fuck tons of women then some of them are going to have to be the women of other men. If you want to live a very high standard of living you have to get there on the backs of other men. If you want to be the best at anything you have to be willing to do everything in your power to get there.

So your moral fagging on Reddit is not going to stop me. The only thing you are doing is discouraging valuable discussion. There are men like me in this world and you are well served knowing this fact. I will take everything I want from this world. Know this and prepare for it.

Cut The Cord by Shinedown

Gotta feel courage
Embrace possession
If it was easier to shatter everything that ever mattered
But it's not, because it's your obsession
Be a fighter, backbone, desire
Complicated and it stings, but we both know what it means
And it's time to get real and inspired

Now victory is all you need
So cultivate and plant the seed
Hold your breath and count to ten, just count to ten, just count to ten

I'm gonna make it rain, so ring the bell
I know it all too well
Switchblade on the edge of your wrist
Can I get a witness?
Cause agony brings no reward
For one more hit and one last score
Don't be a casualty, cut the cord

Михаи́л Серге́евич Толсты́х aka "Givi"

Mikhail Sergeyevich Tolstykh (Russian: Михаи́л Серге́евич Толсты́х), better known by his callsign "Givi" (Ги́ви), is a commander in the pro-Russian separatist "Somali Battalion" (Russian: Батальон Сомали) in the War in Donbass. In an online interview, Givi claimed that he is from Ilovaisk and served in the Ukrainian Army from 1998 to 2000 before working at a sling rope factory. In an interview he stated that his great-grandfather was an ethnic Georgian.

Fighting between separatist insurgents affiliated with the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Ukrainian government forces broke out at Donetsk International Airport on September 28, 2014. The new battle was sparked despite a ceasefire agreement, called the Minsk Protocol, that had been in place from September 5th. Heavy fighting over the airport continued into the new year, and on January 21st, 2015 DPR forces overran the government's positions at the airport. The remaining Ukrainian forces were either killed, forced to retreat, or captured.

Following months of ceasefire violations, the Ukrainian government, the DPR and the LPR jointly agreed to halt all fighting, starting on September 1st, 2015. This agreement coincided with the start of the school year in Ukraine, and was intended to allow for another attempt at implementing the points of Minsk II. The area around Mariupol, including Shyrokyne, saw no fighting. No final settlement to the conflict was agreed.

Rocco by Death In Vegas

"The US is now spending 26% of available tax revenue to pay interest on the $18 trillion outstanding. Total US interest payments in Fiscal Year 2013 were a whopping $415 billion, roughly 17% of total tax revenue. Here's the thing, though - it's inappropriate to look at total tax revenue when we're talking about making interest payments.

The IRS collected $2.49 trillion in taxes last year (net of refunds). But of this amount, $891 billion was from payroll tax. According to FICA and the Social Security Act of 1935, however, this amount is tied directly to funding Social Security and Medicare. It is not to be used for interest payments.

Based on this data, the amount of tax revenue that the US government had available to pay for its operations was $1.599 trillion in FY2013. This means they actually spent approximately 26% of their available tax revenue just to pay interest last year, a much higher number than 17%." — Simon Black

Kevin Richardson the Lion Whisperer

Kevin Richardson is a South African animal behaviourist who has worked extensively with native animals of Africa. Richardson worked in a 1600-acre Lion Park in Broederstroom, a town 35 miles north of his hometown, Johannesburg, in South Africa. While specializing in lions, he also interacted with hyenas and leopards.

Richardson has a special facility called the Kingdom of the White Lion in Broederstroom. The park, which was set up with the help of Rodney Fuhr, is 800 hectares (2,000 acres) and was built for the set of the movie White Lion. Richardson cares for thirty-nine lions at this facility. Currently, the facility is private, but there are plans to open it to the public.

Richardson has worked with big cats and relies on intuition rather than static rules. He has slept next to, fed, and lived with lions. Along with lions, he has worked with cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. He prefers lions to any other big cat. His relationship with the animals, however, has not been an instant one. He has known all of the lions he works with since they were cubs. As a rule, Richardson only interacts with lions he has been with since their birth.

The lion population in Africa has dropped from about 350,000 to an estimated 25,000 during a fifteen-year-span. Richardson hopes the media attention of his movies will raise public awareness and educate them on the need to protect and conserve Africa's animals. Lion hunts in South Africa garner more than 90 million dollars (£60 million) a year according to the Professional Hunters Association. Trophy hunting is worth $91.2 million a year and foreign tourists sometimes pay up to $40,000 to shoot a lion.

Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks

"Edge of Seventeen" is a song written and recorded by American singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks. It was the third single from her 1981 solo debut album, Bella Donna.

According to Nicks, the title came from a conversation she had with Tom Petty's first wife, Jane, about the couple's first meeting. She was telling me about Tom, about when she met him, and she has an incredible Southern accent ... and she said that she met him at the age of seventeen, but I thought she said 'edge,' and she said 'no ... age' and I said, 'Jane, forget it, it's got to be "edge." The "Edge of Seventeen" is perfect. I'm gonna write a song, ok? And I'm gonna give you credit.' She didn't believe me, you know? She couldn't believe it when it came out on the album."

At the time, Nicks was going out with producer Jimmy Iovine, and was with him when news of Lennon's assassination first broke. "Jimmy was absolutely best friends with John Lennon," she says. "So when that happened, a hush came over the house that was so overwhelming that there was nothing that I could do to help. There was nothing I could say, there was no way I could comfort him." Unable to help, Nicks flew home to Phoenix. "I went straight over to my uncle's house, and my uncle died that day. He died right there with me holding his hand, just me and my cousin, who's a little younger than me, sitting there on the bed and on the floor next to him."

"I have to deal with it every single night when I sing it," she says. "When that song starts, I go back to that week. And it's not like I try. I don't make a physical effort to do it. In my mind, my little timespace, I'm back in the house at Encino finding out that news, and when I sing it to everybody, I try to make them understand in a way what I was talking about without actually telling them."

Give Me The Night by George Benson

"Give Me the Night" is a song recorded by American jazz musician George Benson, which he released from his 1980 studio album of the same title. It was written and composed by Heatwave's keyboard player Rod Temperton and produced by Quincy Jones. Patti Austin provides the backing and scat vocals that are heard throughout, and one of Benson's fellow jazz guitarists, Lee Ritenour, also performs on the selection. The song was a commercial success, and was Benson's first single to hit number one on the US Billboard Soul Singles chart. It also peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it his most successful pop entry.

Good Times by CHIC

"Good Times" was composed by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. It was first recorded by their band, Chic, for their 1979 album, Risqué. In August of that year it became the band's second number one single on both the Billboard Hot 100 and soul singles chart. Along with the tracks, "My Forbidden Lover", and "My Feet Keep Dancing", "Good Times" reached number three on the disco charts. It reportedly sold 5 million copies, making it, at the time, the best-selling 45 rpm single in the history of Atlantic Records.

The lyrics are largely based on Milton Ager's "Happy Days Are Here Again." It also contains lines based on lyrics featured in "About a Quarter to Nine" made famous by Al Jolson. Nile Rodgers has stated that these depression-era lyrics were used as a hidden way to comment on the then-current economic depression in the United States.

Bill Burr On Donald Trump

[–]Sdom1 90 points 19 hours ago

One thing that just fucking amazes me - no matter how many times I see it - is people's ability to claim they want something, believe they want something, and then repeatedly do things to achieve the exact opposite result. The lack of self-awareness or insight is just mind boggling.

OK, so let's say I interview Tinderella A, and I ask her what she wants out of her dating life. The answer that I'd get most of the time, if she decides to drop her guard, would be that she would like to meet someone to have a fulfilling relationship with, get married, have kids, the whole nine. A laudable goal, to be sure.

And then, she's going to go on Tinder and swipe right for Chad Thundercock, who immediately tells her he's just interested in "hanging out" and "seeing if there's anything there." Then, she fucks him after a whole half an hour of conversation at a local bar or coffee house. And afterwards laments the "condition of the dating scene."

So, I'm a little older, 35, and what I've noticed about the millennials is that they are absolutely TERRIFIED of making an actual connection with someone. At first, I mistook it for them being vapid, and while there's some of that, there have always been vapid people.

But this generation is the first to be raised with all of this technology. What it has done is extremely interesting. It has basically spread them thin. They have more connections to others than people in the past, but not as many deep ones.

Combine this with hypergamy and you're getting a small population of guys (good looking dark triads) pumping and dumping all of the women in NYC and these highly educated, supposedly intelligent people are at a complete loss as to how to stop it. It is unfuckingbelievable, and completely hilarious.

"In my view it is better to be impetuous than cautious because fortune is a woman, and if you wish to dominate her you must beat her and batter her. It is clear she will let herself be won by men who are impetuous rather than those who step cautiously." – Niccolo Machiavelli

No Heaven by DJ Champion & Marie-Christine

2005 saw the release of DJ Champion’s debut album, Chill'em All. The album included the hit single "No Heaven" — a soulful and bluesy song set against heavy dance beats and noisy guitar riffs. Inspired by Negro Songs of Protest recorded by music collector Lawrence Gellert, Béatrice "Betty" Bonifassi sings a plaintive tune reminiscent of the work songs sung by the chain-gangs of the American South in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. "I heard Betty singing those blues songs, and she was the girl for that job," said Morin. The single "No Heaven" was used in both a trailer and the ending credits of Gearbox Software's 2009 video game Borderlands, and is used in the opening credits of the television series The Line and the ending credits of the game Army of Two.

Fight Club Soap Scene

“I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.” ― D.H. Lawrence

SARAH: Daddy, were you in the shower?

DAD: Yes, I was in the shower.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: I was dirty. The shower gets me clean.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why does the shower get me clean?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: Because the water washes the dirt away when I use soap.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why do I use soap?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: Because the soap grabs the dirt and lets the water wash it off.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why does the soap grab the dirt?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: Because soap is a surfactant.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why is soap a surfactant?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: That is an EXCELLENT question. Soap is a surfactant because it forms water-soluble micelles that trap the otherwise insoluble dirt and oil particles.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why does soap form micelles?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: Soap molecules are long chains with a polar, hydrophilic head and a non-polar, hydrophobic tail. Can you say ‘hydrophilic’?

SARAH: Aidrofawwic

DAD: And can you say ‘hydrophobic’?

SARAH: Aidrofawwic

DAD: Excellent! The word ‘hydrophobic’ means that it avoids water.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why does it mean that?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: It’s Greek! ‘Hydro’ means water and ‘phobic’ means ‘fear of’. ‘Phobos’ is fear. So ‘hydrophobic’ means ‘afraid of water’.

SARAH: Like a monster?

DAD: You mean, like being afraid of a monster?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: A scary monster, sure. If you were afraid of a monster, a Greek person would say you were gorgophobic.

(pause)

SARAH: (rolls her eyes) I thought we were talking about soap.

DAD: We are talking about soap.

(longish pause)

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why do the molecules have a hydrophilic head and a hydrophobic tail?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: Because the C-O bonds in the head are highly polar, and the C-H bonds in the tail are effectively non-polar.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Because while carbon and hydrogen have almost the same electronegativity, oxygen is far more electronegative, thereby polarizing the C-O bonds.

SARAH: Why?

DAD: Why is oxygen more electronegative than carbon and hydrogen?

SARAH: Yes.

DAD: That’s complicated. There are different answers to that question, depending on whether you’re talking about the Pauling or Mulliken electronegativity scales. The Pauling scale is based on homo versus heteronuclear bond strength differences, while the Mulliken scale is based on the atomic properties of electron affinity and ionization energy. But it really all comes down to effective nuclear charge. The valence electrons in an oxygen atom have a lower energy than those of a carbon atom, and electrons shared between them are held more tightly to the oxygen, because electrons in an oxygen atom experience a greater nuclear charge and therefore a stronger attraction to the atomic nucleus! Cool, huh?

(pause)

SARAH: I don’t get it.

DAD: That’s OK. Neither do most of my students.

Bad Company by Five Finger Death Punch

For their second album "War Is the Answer", Five Finger Death Punch decided to cover a song by the band of the same name, Bad Company. The song has a significantly heavier tone to it, along with several lyrical edits. The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard US Mainstream Rock Songs Chart.

Rule #1: Pillage, then burn.

Rule #2: If violence wasn't your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

Rule #3: Close air support covereth a multitude of sins.

Rule #4: A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head.

Rule #5: Do unto others.

Rule #6: If you're leaving scorch marks, you need a bigger gun.

Rule #7: That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.

Every thorn stung

You save my life tonight

And I found my heart inside your hands
You save my life tonight
You showed me how to feel again
You save my life tonight

"This makes them work harder at their job and stay focused so they can reach the imaginary brass ring in which will solve all their problems and worries about life. But, in reality all it does is gives them the opportunity to buy more useless shit they don’t need until another bigger and better model comes out for them to get. It's an endless seasonal gift shop for slavery." — Modern Day Pricus

Halo Theme by Lindsey Stirling & William Joseph

"You see this goblet?" asks Achaan Chaa, the Thai meditation master. "For me this glass is already broken. I enjoy it; I drink out of it. It holds my water admirably, sometimes even reflecting the sun in beautiful patterns. If I should tap it, it has a lovely ring to it. But when I put this glass on the shelf and the wind knocks it over or my elbow brushes it off the table and it falls to the ground and shatters, I say, 'Of course.' When I understand that the glass is already broken, every moment with it is precious."

Civil Forfeiture by John Oliver

Carrying large amounts of cash is not a crime, yet thousands of Americans who do so are being treated like criminals. Law enforcement officials are using civil forfeiture to seize the cash of domestic travelers at airports, like 24-year-old Charles Clarke. Charles had $11,000 seized at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport in 2014.

In February 2014, law enforcement officials took Charles’ entire life savings right before he was scheduled to board a flight, and they have kept his money for over a year. Now Charles has teamed up with the Institute for Justice, which has successfully represented property owners as part of its initiative to end civil forfeiture nationwide, to fight back in federal court.

Hey, they're racing against Google, who is moving pretty fast: the search company wants to be a car company with vehicles our streets this year. It was supposed to be a partnership with the University, but it sounds a lot more like poaching in Pittsburgh, with Uber setting up shop in a renovated factory building down the road from CMU. "They took all the guys that were working on vehicle autonomy — basically whole groups, whole teams of developers, commercialization specialists, all the guys that find grants and who were bringing the intellectual property," says one unnamed source. "These guys, they took everybody." In total, 50 have defected to Uber. First they came for the software developers, but by the end, they'd scored the center's director."

Work Bitch LoLos Remix

* Bluetooth ballgag courtesy of Beats by Dre

"Woman has no primary interest in a great or artistic man, she does not prefer him to a successful and rich soap-boiler, and what is more, she never knows he is great until the world acknowledges him as such."

"If in the Europe of today, and in all countries like Europe, it is material success alone that is regarded as the highest value, and if money is the principal hallmark of power and prestige, it is due to the ascendancy of women in our midst. Women cannot take any other point of view, and where their influence tends to prevail, as it does particularly in England and America, there you will find the worship of cash the principal religion of the community."

"Today this vulgarity can be detected in every aspect of our lives. Everything, every consideration of refinement, is overlooked, provided that money be present. And the man who kills most female hearts is he who can throw a rich fur round his capture and whirl her off in a sumptuous Rolls-Royce. Wives who have passionately loved their husbands will learn to dislike and despise them intensely if owing to some unhappy turn in their fortunes they become material failures."

"Individually this vulgarity ramifies in woman as an inability to pursue refinement, unassisted or undirected; as a readiness to sacrifice refinement or else the fruits of cultivation, to any other sordid end, and as an inaccessibility to the finer nuances of thought. That is why the notion ‘Lady’ is such absurd nonsense. It is the grossest and most palpable fiction. No ‘Lady’ has ever existed or will ever exist." — Anthony Mario Ludovici

Keloid by BLR VFX

BLR released a trailer for Keloid. Briefly, it’s the story of humanity reaching a technological singularity, at which artificial intelligence has surpassed that of man, and the uncertainty and danger of the next moment. It’s well-trodden territory, but BLR’s approach, as evidenced by the trailer, is intense, unique, and a little terrifying. The trailer is more of a ‘proof of concept’ piece, as the company sought to stretch itself creatively and refine new workflows, such as motion capture, that would be used on the feature.

“We’re mostly known for our visual effects work in advertising, but every now and then we like to experiment and do something on our own to showcase our skills and give free reign to our potential,” says J.J. Palomo, Creative Director of BLR.

“One of our animators came up with the idea of a mechanical SWAT force rushing into a clandestine drug lab also operated by robots. The idea was appealing, but we knew the conceptual treatment would require extensive amounts of motion capture to bring the troop of six robot soldiers to life with synchronized military precision as they enter the abandoned warehouse that is the setting for much of the trailer.”

Prior to the Keloid trailer, BLR had never experimented with motion capture on a project. They turned to iPi Motion Capture software to provide the backbone of production. Add two Microsoft Kinects to iPi’s markerless system, and what you have is a fast, cost-effective way to animate characters.

“We set up in our office using Kinect cameras, and just loved the outcome,” says Palomo. “We used iPi Motion Capture to animate the main robots, and because we wanted a more realistic approach in the biped animation, coupled with our small staff, we could not afford to spend a lot of time digitally animating robots into the scenes....We worked with 3D Studio Max in BVH format, and loaded the motion capture data onto our more complex rig system, where we could then we could touch up, clean and reanimate.”

The Gift by BLR VFX

"Changing and improving your life requires destroying a part of yourself and replacing it with a newer, better part of yourself. It is therefore, by definition, a painful process full of resistance and anxiety. You can’t grow muscle without challenging it with greater weight. You can’t build emotional resilience without forging through hardship and loss. And you can’t build a better mind without challenging your own beliefs and assumptions." – Mark Manson

The Witcher 3 Opening Cinematic

“I have known many gods. He who denies them is as blind as he who trusts them too deeply. I seek not beyond death. It may be the blackness averred by the Nemedian skeptics, or Crom's realm of ice and cloud, or the snowy plains and vaulted halls of the Nordheimer's Valhalla.

I know not, nor do I care. Let me live deep while I live; let me know the rich juices of red meat and stinging wine on my palate, the hot embrace of white arms, the mad exultation of battle when the blue blades flame and crimson, and I am content. Let teachers and philosophers brood over questions of reality and illusion.

I know this: if life is illusion, then I am no less an illusion, and being thus, the illusion is real to me. I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content.” ― Robert E. Howard, Queen of the Black Coast
