Omar El Akkad x Chris Hedges

@mattscott4792
Probably the best interview i've watched in recent memory. Hedges continues to hit home run after home run.

@billyv2210
I don't think there has EVER been a better title to a book - Brilliant!

@Globaltraveller538
Omar was so articulate and clear about the ongoing genocide and the state of the world in general, kudos to Chris for presenting such voices to his listeners.

@hank.hacking
The use of euphemism as a weapon of war fills me with a kind of hysterical rage. How do we stay seated when someone says "I didn't shoot her, she collided with the bullets I fired"?

@pappapiccolino9572
Wow. Every one of those quotes from Omar's book is great. He is so honest, erudite and impressive. Amazing interview. Much love to Omar and Chris.

The Western concept of rules, order, or rules-based order is merely a list on paper and hardly an exercise in true values and principles. Omar El Akkad, Egyptian-Canadian novelist and journalist, has witnessed many instances, both in the West and in the Middle East, where banners of virtue are used to justify hypocritical behavior. El Akkad writes about such instances in his new book, “One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This,” and he joins host Chris Hedges on this episode of The Chris Hedges Report to discuss them.
